Nivelles 5th April 2009

Sunday 5th April 2009 saw the second sprint race of the season from Nivelles 138 km to Nieuwendijk.

Club 372 birds - 4th,6th,10th,11th,12th,13th.

Altena & Raamsdonksveer 1697 birds - 8th ,10th.

A yearling hen was the first arrival but the occasion got to her and she flew around for over a minute. She was eventually clocked second. She is a daughter of "Young King" a super racing son of the "Young Couple". First bird to be timed is a yearling cock from the Van Zon bloodlines that have really stepped up to the mark this last two seasons. Overall the result was very pleasing as the condition is being held back with the NPO middle distance races in mind.

Saturday 28th March 2009 saw the first race of the season take place in Nieuwendijk.

Club 273 birds - 1st,2nd,3rd,4th and 5th.

C.C. Altena & Raamsdonksveer 1098 birds - 1st,2nd,4th,5th and 8th.

The first two birds "Dead heated" with a velocity of 1655.775 m/m.

One bird was a cock containing the bloodline of Topo,Patriot and Rocket ..all 1st Dutch National Ace winners with Fienieke 5000 blood also. The other bird a hen is a daughter of Drum paired to Marita also from Fieneke 5000 blood of Flor Vervoort.
