Doonan and McGuinness fly a small team with top results. It is not enough to have good birds, they have to be prepared and raced with some skill also and this partnership can certainly do that.

Update
19th August 2010
The last couple of weeks has seen hard races and big losses for the young bird program races in Holland. There is also no obvious reason why. It is the same for most fanciers in all parts of the country so no one area is experiencing it more than any other. We decided to keep most of the team home in the last few weeks and continue with short tosses every day to prepare for the Natonal NPO races. These races start next Saturday from Sens, so we will have to see if things improve.
The final of the Belgian Masters One Loft Race took place on Tuesday 17th August from Tours 460 km, and again this was a very erratic affair. We are very pleased with our 43rd position with a young hen from the Martin Van Zon lines. The base of these birds is Kees Bosua 'Porky' and 'Miss Marbella' crossed with the original H&O '699' and 'Mickey' bloodline. They like a bit of distance and headwind.
Thursday 19th August was the first Hot Spot Race of the South West One Loft Race from Portsmouth a distance of 140 miles. Birds were liberated into a light headwind with showers en route and another very testing race was experienced. Again we were very pleased to win this race with a young hen bred from 'Warlord' a yearling son of the 'Young Couple' paired to 'Heidi' bred from the Andreas Drapa super pair 'Konig' and 'Konigin' the parents of Olympiade Ace 'Carl' and 'Champ' 1st German Ace Pigeon All Round 2004.
Clennan and Hanson
8th August 2010
It is always nice to hear of the succes of others with our bloodline and it was very pleasing to hear from Brian Clennan who flies in the Staithes H.S. in the partnership of Clennan and Hanson.
Brian and Frank exchanged some birds with their good freind Steve Price of Stourport and included was a young cock bred from Steve's great racing hen a winner of 20 prizes in three seasons at all levels of competition being a daughter of Steves top breeding daughter of Hannibal and Genie.
The young cock in his first race won 1st Staithes H.S. , 1st East Cleveland Federation and 1st Section 6 in the Up North Combine young bird race from Bubwith against more than 6000 birds.
We hope this serves as a 'pick me up' for Frank Hanson who has not been in the best of health.
Very well done indeed.
