Nat.NPO Creil 3rd July 2010

Saturday 3rd July was to be the start of this seasons young bird program, however due to severe losses sustained by most combine members it was decided to delay the first race untill next Saturday. This will hopefully give the young birds time for recuperation and some confidence building after the tough training flights. This desicion by the members and organising commitee can only be applauded as it is in the best interests of the birds.
Saturday 3rd July was also in the program for the Nat NPO Teletext race from Creil a distance of 330 km to Nieuwendijk. The weather was hot with a 31 degree heat, northerly wind and a 'Dead' sky. The birds arrived very split up and our first bird was 5 minutes clear in the club.
Club 153 birds....1st,3rd,6th,9th,10th (10 prizes in the first 18 positions)
CC A&R 505 birds...1st,9th,19th,25th,26th (11 in the top 40 positions)
Combine 1810 birds..1st,17th,46th,63rd,65th (8 in the top 90 positions)
Nat.N.P.O. 7415 birds..1st with another 7 birds up on the result.
First bird and National NPO Creil winner is NL08-3857201 a previous multiple prize winner. He is a son of Storm Bird (Drum x Marita)x Seven 11 a daughter of Zidane (Brother of Kannibaal) x Agent Starling (Hen of Young Couple..dtr. Kannibaal).
Second bird was NL07-1834150 of the Martin v Zon bloodline. This bird won 6th Nat.N.P.O. Montlucon 6035 birds last year and was also 5th prize club from Creil last week.
Third bird was NL08-3857225 a two year old cock and a winner last week of 1st club and 4th Combine Creil. He was also a top prize winner as a young bird and yearling. He is bred from "605" the son of Caliph (Reza of Marijke Vink x dtr Aviator) x Poppy (Dtr Kannibaal) Dam of "225" is Chanel the super racing hen.
Fourth bird was NL07-1834126 a direct Martin Van Zon.
Fifth bird was NL09-1326344 a winner of 57th Nat.NPO Argenton this year against 8300 birds and is from Danijel a Martin Van Zon cock with a direct daughter of Golden Mattens x Classic Winner the winner of the Florida State Classic race from 370 miles and she is also the mother of Britannia winner of the Vegas Race.com One Loft Race from 300 miles.
Creil 26/6/10

Saturday 26th June 2010 saw the Mid-fond race from Creil a distance of 330 km to Nieuwendijk take place.
There was also a long distance race from La Souteraine taking place however this race was not entered. It was with a cautious eye to the future that non of the main team was risked due to the heavy losses experienced by the whole region with training youngsters. At least 40 % are missing from the preliminary training tosses.

Third bird was NL07-1834150 of the Martin v Zon bloodline. This bird won 6th Nat.N.P.O. Montlucon 6035 birds.
Sens
23rd June 2010
Due to bad weather across France and Belgium the Sens middle distance race bird were brought back and liberated just over the Belgian border. It is a void race.
Argenton

After a one day holdover due to rain, the Argenton NPO Race took place on Sunday 13th June, a distance of 627 km to Nieuwendijk.

In a very tough race it was pleasing to win 13 prizes with 18 entries.
First bird was NL08-3857250 bred from the Martin Van Zon bloodline and a prize winner from NPO Bourges two weeks ago.
Second bird was from Danijel a Martin Van Zon cock with a direct daughter of Golden Mattens x Classic Winner the winner of the Florida State Classic race from 370 miles and she is also the mother of Britannia winner of the Vegas Race.com One Loft Race from 300 miles.
Third bird was 07-650 a grand daughter of Super Champion Orlando the Olympiade Ace Pigeon all round for Comb.Verbree. She is also a grand daughter of 'King' another Dutch National Ace All Round winner of the old Zoontjens bloodlines.
Fourth bird was NL09-1326344 the same way bred as the second piegon home that proves the Martin Van Zon line like this type of contest.
Fifth bird home was the little blue hen NL08-3857202 a full sister of 'Kannibaal King' bred from the 'Young Couple' (Galileo x Agent Starling). This is the third week in a row that this hen has scored in National NPO racing.
