This middle distance race from Creil was liberated into a north east headwind on Saturday morning.

First bird was NL09-13266304 bred from a son of the great breeding cock Challenger x direct daughter of 'Young King' (Son Young Couple) winner of 3rd NPO Orleans 14014 birds.
Second bird was NL09-1326330 bred from the 'Young Solo' x a direct daughter of 'Glyndwr' ( Son Young Couple)
Third bird was NL09-1326327 a very consistant prize winner this season and a previous winner last year as a youngster including 8th National NPO Orleans against 19,455 birds..she is bred from GFL-1325 ( Son Golden Mattens x Solid Gold ) x 07-1955785 daughter Wizard x GB 635 (Daughter Drum x Gerrie).
Fourth bird was NL09-1326417 a winner last year of 39th National NPO Orleans against 19,455 birds. She is bred from a son of the famous 'Samson' that is kindly on loan to us from Marina Van der Velde x Faith ( Daughter Young Couple)
Fifth bird was NL07-3762621 a really top class hen and winner of many prizes over the last 4 seasons including Strombeek against 419 birds in the first race of this season. She is a direct daughter of Drum x Marita of Flor Vervoort Feineke 5000 bloodlines.
Sixth bird was NL08-3857225 a direct son of Caliph (Reza x Dtr.Aviator) x Chanel the top racing and breeding hen.
Seventh bird was NL08-1679234 another direct from the 'Young Solo' this time paired with a daughter of 'Kannibaal King' (Son Young Couple) x GB 635 a direct daughter of Drum and Gerrie.
In the next few weeks we will see the start of the National NPO Races. We look forward to these races every season and we hope for some form and 'Lady Luck'.
Azziz.. 1st Nat.NPO 18,406 birds!!

Yesterday Maurice Van Der Kruk from Tiel, Holland emailed to say he won 1st National NPO Mantes la Jolie in Afdeling 7 in Holland against 18,406 birds. The race was very hard in a headwind and showers that resulted in around 50% day returns and very slow and tired returns next day.
The winner is AZZIZ a two year old blue pencil hen a previous winner from Epehy,Strombeek and Nanteuil and she is a half sister to PRINS SENS winner of 1st NPO Sens Afdeling 7 against 2450 birds and 2nd Pommeroeul against 17,563 birds.
Sire of AZZIZ is the super 'ZIDANE' cock of the Van Der Kruks a winner of 2nd Dutch National Ace WHZB Natour 2004. He is bred from the multi performance bloodlines of Klinkhamer and Son crossed with Admiraal - Padding.
Dam of AZZIZ is '14 KARAT' the super breeding daughter of the 'YOUNG COUPLE' that Maurice bought at our Blackpool auction in 2006. She is already responsible for some really top performers including the famous 'OBAMA'.

Saturday 8th May saw the Morlincourt race held from a distance of 278km. The wind was a strong North East with rain en-route and many birds were missing on the day.

First bird was NL09-3951964 a from a direct son of Casanova the 1st Dutch Middle Distance Ace x GFL-1198 a daughter of Blue Le Mans of Wout Speirings.
Second bird was NL07-3762640 bred from the very good breeding cock 'Majestic' a son of 'Ikon' x 'Irish' a hen from 'Brother Diamond' and 'Sister Gold Dust' of the Vandenabeele bloodline responsible for 'Morning Star' and 'Kasai'.
Third bird was NL08-3857201 a son of Storm Bird (Drum x Marita)x Seven 11 a daughter of Zidane (Brother of Kannibaal) x Agent Starling (Hen of Young Couple..dtr. Kannibaal). '201' is a previous consistent prize winner.
Fourth bird was NL09-1326322 bred from two direct Martin Van Zon birds.
Dutch Master

This is a really nice cock to have around. He is tame,full of intelligence, handles exeptionally well, has a super race record and a fantastic pedigree being bred from the famous Marijke Vink couple 'Tips' x 'Geschelpte Kannibaal'.
We named the cock 'Dutch Master', however maybe we should have kept his original name. Marijke called him 'Future' and he is certainly a part of that in our breeding plans.
It is now very pleasing that his grandchildren are having the racing succes we hoped for.
The latest performance is reported by the very succesfull Doonan and McGuiness partnership from Northern Ireland.His grandson (when he was paired to a daughter of 'Samson' of Marina Van der Velde) won 1st club 625 birds and 1st section D 3,512 birds from Rosrea last week.
Many congratulations Wayne...you really deserve it with the effort you put in.
