Yesterday we had our last inland preparation before the channel program from Hythe a distance of 265 miles with a much reduced club birdage of 96 entries.. We experienced a very difficult race indeed with erratic returns and big gaps between arrivals.

We was very pleased to win this race   with Pencil Blue Cock GB17L42051 a late bred from last season scoring for the first time. He is bred from a pair of Hermans Hoekstra birds (The Dutch Connection Loft) containing their legendary marathon bloodlines.

This cock will have the first channel race in two weeks with the Welsh South East  if everything goes to plan.
