Abagail…quite a hen!
Her father is the famous Rocket of Rinus Van Gastel now of course owned by Mike Ganus. He has really got to be one of the greatest racers and breeders of all time.
His bloodline is from Mr Van Gastels old ‘Valk’ line of Jacques Tournier that he has raced since the 1950’s! This is the same Tournier featured in our current post on Facebook that was featured a few years ago in the ‘Duif Chronicles Online’ section of this site. .
Our own Granger and Indiana were also direct sons of Rocket and down from them came War Drum and Foxy Lady.
So nothing is really new but really great pigeons stand the test of time if fanciers of the caliber of Mr Van Gastel apply their skill and patience to develop them.
