He was retained by Hermans/ Van den Branden for their own stock loft because of his obvious top quality and was destined to be coupled to one of Riks many World Class racing hens. It was only through our great friendship and Jan’s generosity that we managed to transfer this cock to our own breeding loft in North Wales. His first breeding season with us was 2014 and in 2015 his first son bred Phil Bates and Sons 1st North Section in the Welsh South East National Young Bird race. And he has steadily continued from then. So he has wasted no time in producing some really top performers in Federation,Combine,National and Classic races. Justifying the confidence that Jan Hermans had in him as a young cock.

 

I was pleased to be informed of the success of Mr.Stoner and Son of Morden’s pigeon GB16-69711 winning 1st Section E and 2nd Open in the National Flying Clubs Messac race yesterday against around 6000 birds. This same pigeon won 5th Section, 19th Open in the B.I.C.C. National race from Poitiers last weekend against 2,880 birds. A top class bird by any standard.

We are very pleased to have bred the father of this cock being a son of Propere Rik (A son of Rik Hermans base cock Propere) when coupled to Sunday Girl (Bred by Jan Hooymans from Harry with the super Rik Hermans hen ‘Last One’).

A full sister to Mr Stoner and Sons young breeder is ‘Jennifer Lopez’ owned by Phil Bates and Son and she is dam of some real supers for them including ‘Chip Shop Pete’ winner of 1st Chester 2 Bird club race from Carentan last season.
