This morning was the first Hot Spot Car Race in the South Africa Million Dollar Race. The 3251 remaining birds were liberated into a light head wind for a very steady race. We are very pleased that our Blue Cock ‘Cortez The Killer’ won 1st U.K. against 182 birds and 27th International against 3251 birds. This race is of course only 110 km and the Final race when it matters is a very different contest entirely, it is still pleasing that our entry is healthy and gaining fitness. ‘Cortez The Killer’ is from a new pairing of ‘Propere Rik’ when he was paired to ‘Sunday Girl’ a yearling daughter of ‘Harry’ of Jan Hooymans x ‘The Last One’ of Jan and Rik Hermans.
