Darren Ede and Family from Southampton had yet another eye catching performance in Saturdays National Flying Club Race from Nort Sur Erdre.
Darren made a new start with the birds last season flying on his own with a team of yearlings. Although this season has been extremely testing due to Covoid 19 , his team has scored with eye catching regularity so far with without doubt the best to come.
Darren won 1st,2nd,4th,15th Section B against over 700 birds and 3rd,6th,60th and so on Open against over 5,000 entries. With many more on the result.
Darren is not only a dedicated individual that puts 110% effort into his team but is also a fearless buyer in the auction room where only the very best is good enough regardless of cost. To any serious pigeon fancier it is not only the buying of the best that brings success but outright focus and will to win and this he has demonstrated this season in abundance.
Darren’s first timer is a yearling blue cock that had scored from the CSCFC a few weeks ago and has consistently scored in the Fed all season. The sire of the yearling is a son of Foxy Lady when coupled to Granger her own grand sire. The mother is a direct daughter of Jan Hooymans Harry, so the bird is bred in the purple to say the least.
His other timers are all similar bloodlines with his second timer from a son of New Harry with a performance hen winner of second National in Belgium.
Darren gave an indication in January of his birds potential in the last Sun City Race when his famous hen ‘Lone Survivor’ won 6th UK 45th Open In The Final Of The Million Dollar Pigeon Race… 5th AcePigeon Across 5 Hotspot Races.. From The 4 Birds Infront Of Him 2 Did Not Return At All From The Final & The Other 2 Did Not Make The Top 50…He was bred from a son of New Harry with a daughter of Propere Rik x Foxy Lady.
Once again I must offer my very best congratulations to Darren and I have no doubt whatsoever that with his drive and dedication this is just the start of a top pigeon career.
