The 3rd July 2021 was the Guernsey National Race for the NFC when 6956 birds were entered by 662 members.

Garry Inkley of Uxbridge had an outstanding race once again with Provisionally 4 in the top 41 National against almost 7000 birds!

His first timer for 26th Open is a yearling Blue Checker Hen bred from Garry’s 2nd Open NFC Saintes winner that was himself bred from his Northern Nights his 1st Open NFC Saintes winner paired to a daughter of Hannibal (Son Kannibaal) x Genie(Drum x Gerrie).                                                                   Dam of  26th Open was ‘81580’ a hen via Tim Atkin bred from a son of Bandit x Moonglow with a daughter of War Drum x Rhiannon

Second timer for 37th Open is a blue yearling cock bred from a son of De Gust of Ullrich Lemmens on loan from Tim Atkins when he was paired to ‘81579’ the nest sister to ‘81580’ above via Tim Atkins from a son of Bandit x Moonglow with a daughter of War Drum x Rhiannon.

Third timer for 38th Open is another blue yearling cock a previous winner of 1st Fed Yeaovil against 2279 birds. His sire is a full brother to ‘Rhiannon’ paired with a daughter of ‘Renegade’ a son of Outlaw x Lady King (Daughter Young Couple) x Gold Dust Woman a direct daughter of ‘Geeloger’ of Koen Minderhoud.

Fourth timer for 41st Open was a yearling checker white flight hen with plenty of previous form having won 4th club Wincanton ,14th Fed Honiton,87th Open NFC Countances, 1st Club Exeter and 1st club Honiton. Sire is bred from a grandson of ‘Gust’ with a sister of ‘Rhiannon’ and the dam is from a son of King Kanon with a granddaughter of ‘Hannibal’ (Son Kannibaal),’Doran'(Daughter Ermerveens Hope x Golden Lady), Dylan (Son Drum) and Joy (Daughter Kannibaal).

Once again all birds are bred out of multiple race performers generation after generation.

Rhiannon has been one of our principle breeding hens of the last few seasons…she is a really beautiful hen with a quite incredible performance pedigree.. and her bloodline features in all four of Garry Inkley’s early timers in the Guernsey National 3rd July 2021 against 6956 birds.
