*I had a message on Monday morning from Geoffrey Douglas, Lurgan with the good news that he had won 1st Section E 75 members sent 390 birds,1st Open 359 members sent 1728 birds with GB15F26146 now named ‘Foxy Ali’.
Geoffrey’s record in the big races is really top class and has been for many years into one of the most competitive areas in the Pigeon Sport.
His winner against 1,728 yearling cocks also beat the total lib including the 1,567 yearling hens entered by 340 members from the 9.am liberation in a light variable wind. So overall 1st fastest against 3,295 yearlings.
The bloodline of ‘Foxy Ali’ is quite fantastic, being bred from a son of Geoffrey’s famous Golden Couple that we bred in 2001 and are responsible for over 100 first prize winners through the generations in National and Classic winners at the top level.
As a matter of interest, the winner of 1st M.C.C.C. for Mr and Mrs Shaw of Wolverhampton in the grueling Carentan race was bred from a daughter of ‘Lurgan Belle’ another direct daughter of Geoofrey’s Golden Pair.
We include copy pedigrees for the sire and dam of ‘Foxy Ali’ in this post to clearly see the results of crossing multiple winning bloodlines.
Many congratulations once again.
