We would like to offer Mr and Mrs Howse of Devizes our congratulations on winning 1st Section , 3rd  Open C.S.C.F.C. Countances 2,113 birds with ‘Lady J’ their 1st Open British Barcelona Club’s Fougeres National last season.

We are very pleased to have contributed to the breeding of this winner through the Drum bloodline on the sires side that has crossed very well with their own ‘Stumpy’ bloodline.

C and J Howse bred and raced the two year old blue hen ‘Lady Jay’ themselves from  cock they bred out of a hen on loan from a friend of theirs. That hen was ‘Miss Unique’ a daughter of Drum paired to Aspen our top Leo Heremans breeding hen.

Lady Jay

The remarkable thing about the Drum and Aspen pairing was only three were ever bred that way. Two cocks and one hen. One of the cocks ‘Little Devil’ bred the mother of  1st Irish N.F.C. Skibbereen Young Bird National 2014 against 3,075 birds for Dennis Irvine, Derriaghy.

The nest brother of ‘Little Devil’ was ‘The 400’ and he bred the sire of a real Super Star NWHU14N6032  for Morris and Pugh of South Wales..the winner of 1st Welsh South East National and Combine from Ypres 2 in 2016 against approx 2,000 birds and the same cock was a previous winner of 3rd National and Combine Ypres 1 against over 3,000 birds earlier in the season against over 3000 birds . He also won 4th National Ypres and 7th National Rosemont  the previous season as a yearling!!

‘Lady J’ a 1st and 3rd Classic winner….quite an exceptional hen. Many congratulations indeed.
