Mick Carrick from  Chesham flying in the Great Missingdon Club and Mid Shires Federation is having a quite outstanding season.

Last week Mick reported a super result in the race from Kingsdown winning 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th Federation 800 birds.

Micks first bird was a blue white flight cock bred from a daughter of Johannesburg x Maxine. This same cock also topped the Fed two weeks previously when the loft won 1st,2nd,5th,7th,8th,15th,18th etc.

The daughter of Johannesburg is one of only nine youngsters we bred this way over three years with two of them being 2017 late breds that we retained for stock. Micks hen bred in 2016 has now bred a double fed winner. Another sister owned by Mr Howard Jackson also bred in 2016 has bred him 5 x 1st winners in her first season. A full brother is our cock ‘Pharoah’ also bred in 2016 and last year in his first breeding season we raced only two direct children from him. One of them was  ‘Blue and Lonesome’ our 1st Ace Pigeon in the Algarve Golden Race in 2017  also winning the car by over one and a half hours. The second raced youngster from him was ‘Shoot to Thrill’ raced in the South Africa Million Dollar Race last year to win 12th overall Ace Pigeon over the entire race series also winning 1st UK. We have no doubt whatsoever that ‘Pharoah’ will be one of our very best breeding cocks ever. He has everything it takes!

Micks second Fed winner was bred from a son of Mario & Ivy paired to a granddaughter of Drum.Third Fed was a granddaughter of Sunday Girl, Fourth was a yearling cock from Micks top breeder a son of Warlord(Son Young Couple) x Tango bred by Dirk Leekens from his champion ‘Blue Viagra’.

Two weeks before this result from Kingsdown , Mick won 1st,3rd,4th,12th,15th,16th,17th,18th,19th,20th Mid Shires Fed from Poole against 875 birds.

His Fed winner was a yearling son of his top breeding cock from Warlord x Tango that has now bred 10 x 1st Fed winners for Mick.

Mick also won 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th,7th,8th,9th,10th,11th,12th,13th,14th,18th Mid Shires Fed in May against 1,253 birds with his winner also being direct from his son of Warlord x Tango.

Top flying by any standards!! Very well done.
