*Peter Colijn holding our good yearling hen NL15-1810846 after scoring from Creil last Saturday…
Last Saturday saw the final race of the Natour series that was also the last race of the season.
The race was from Creil a distance of around 330 km to Nieuwendijk. We kept most of our team at home as the weather was not promising to be great and we did not want to risk our 2017 team.
We sent our good yearling hen NL15-1810846 the daughter of Max and Bontje 191 as she was prominent in the overall Natour Ace Pigeon Championship and we were please she scored again to win 26th Prize Altena & Raamsdonksveer against 376 birds and 91st Union de Baronie against 1.115 birds.
After the series of six races she scored six times and finished 4th Overall Natour Ace Pigeon of the Combine Union de Baronie. Any top ten finish would have been satisfactory for this hen, so 4th is very pleasing for us.

Hi Paul,
Yes I think your hen is top class in every way. The more I think of her pedigree and also the main winning birds of Rik Hermans ,Luc Sioen , Jan Van Wanrooij and so on , the more I think the influence of ‘The Last One’ (Jaarling Dondersteen x Janssen Hen) in the bloodline is very beneficial.
Best regards,
Peter
The Jan & Rik Hermans have been unreal for us in our first year back racing Peter, The lines your saying is 80 percent of directs we have from Jan & Rik so they seem to be a highly potent line for everyone lucky enough to get them, Stuart Fawcett has done a great job sourcing them for us and I believe he sourced the mother Mickys Betts 3rd Open MNFC National winner also from Johan Donkers
I noticed Comb Van Wanrooij have again bred another topper from Ranomi – 16/710 with 2nd NPO Gien 1,972 (behind a loftmate) and 5th Nat Sector 1 11,848 b and also a 2nd Chimay 1,703 b to her credit.
Following the topper Ranomi bred for Comb Van Wanrooij in her first breeding season with them that had a 1st NPO Chateauroux, 3 Nat Sector 1 – 11,948 b and 1st Laon 1,345 b last season Ranomi is fast becoming a possible replacement for their “Koninginneke” their old stammoeder…
Hi Stuart,
You are correct there. She was probably the best bargain John Van Wanrooij ever had. She has fitted into his already world class squad like a dream.
