After six straight weeks of North east wind we had a change this week…Due East!! Like many members in the club we decided not to send to the Chateauroux NPO race as after so many seven to eight hour flies week after every week one look at the weather forcast gave us a very slim chance for an early prize so not much point in risking the team.

We did however send to the 300 km race from Noyon and although that was another tough one we are pleased with the team performance scoring 20 prizes from 29 entries.

Club 278 birds…4th,11th,12th,15th etc

Union de Baronie 1953 birds…13th,49th,50th,67th,93rd

Provincial Brabant 2000    9179 birds…192nd.

It came as no suprise that our first bird again this week his the super blue hen NL20-158151 winning 4th club 278 birds,13th Union de Baronie 1953 birds and 192nd Provincial from over 9000 birds. It was the best she could do at provincial level due to the stiff east wind. This is now her seventh early prize in the club this season from seven races.

4th club 278 birds,13th Union de Baronie 1953 birds and 192nd Provincial from over 9000 birds from Noyon.

Second bird was NL20-1608518 a multiple prize winning full brother to Cesar the top racer and becoming an excellent breeder including breeding our good hen ‘1151’.

NL20-1608518 our second bird yesterday.

Our third bird was NL22-2217946 that from the two Bierges races this season and bred from Diamond King (Wolverine x Sanjay 1) with Stefanie (Said in Spun Silver x Robben Island). No better Mike Gnaus bloodlines exist. This yearling cock also scored well as a youngster and a full brother from 2021 is also a good winner.
“Diamond King” is developing into a special breeder with reports of his offspring winning for others as well as in our own loft.
