Next weekend is the 6th National NPO flight that will take place from Gien.

After the first 5 races we are very pleased to be in 1st place in the Middle Distance (Midfond) Championship of our Combine Union de Baronie against almost 300 members, and 450 points ahead.  So the final race is very important to us. This has been our target all season although we started the season with only 28 racers in our old bird team.

The season started well with us finishing in 7th Champions in the seven flight Sprint (Vitesse) series with the same team that were being prepared for top condition in the following Midfond races.

We are fortunate that we discovered a few consistent racers in the team that maintained form all season. So we need the form to continue for just one more week for the last National NPO race.

The young bird season has just started and once again the reports in the area are of big losses so far in the early training tosses and first race. We have also experienced this but we still have a strong squad. However our main focus right now is not to win any young bird Championships but to try to retain our most promising individuals from the program and the Natour races that will start in a few weeks so that we can strengthen the squad for next year and move up to the One Day Long Distance and ZLU Marathon races in the next few seasons.
