22nd June saw the Wrexham Federation’s Fougeres race being won by Phil Bates and Son Neil the top Bagillt partnership. A total of 67 members sent an entry of 568 birds.
Although the result shows them winning by a decimal , Phil reports misjudging the speed of the race and after seeing the bird land lost 6 minutes wiring up 16 pads and 2 boosters before being able to switch the ETS on. It will be great viewing the CCTV footage of Phil ‘in action’.
The winner is from a two year son of ‘War Drum’ paired to ‘Foxy Lady’. Mother of the winner is a full sister to ‘Basil, The Flying Machine’ bred by Syndicate Lofts and raced by Garry Inkley winner of 13 x 1st prizes!
