This striking looking dark cock is ‘Waalre’ bred by Hermans Hoekstra from 1st National Montauban 34,827 birds 600 miles paired to 1st National St.Vincent 27,516 birds 720 miles. His son bred the winner of 1st Welsh South East National Lillers yesterday….
*Sunday 8th June saw the Welsh South East National take place from Lillers. The winners of this very tough race was Phil Bates and son Neil (The Chip Shop Boys) from Bagillt, North Wales.
Their yearling ‘Foxy Alfie’ was bred for a tough contest with his father bred from our ‘Waalre’ cock that was bred from two 1st Dutch National Overnight racers paired together by Hermans Hoekstra. He was paired to ‘Star 300’ that was bred from our ‘Syndicate Emerald’ winner of 6th International in the Sun City Million Dollar race in 2006 from 390 miles into a headwind with almost 10 hours on the wing and over 100 degree heat.
We wish the Bates family many congratulations on this super result and hope this is the turning point on what has been a very trying time for them.
Very well done indeed…
