I had a welcome call today from Phil Bates of the ‘Chip Shop Boys’ Bates and Son of Bagillt.
He was once again reporting some top class results as anyone would expect from these top class fanciers. Phil hasn’t been to clever health wise recently so lets hope this acts as a ‘tonic’.
On 21st April Phil and Neil win 1st Wrexham Federation from Hereford against 1,935 birds with a multiple performing two year old hen bred from a son of Teofilo paired to a daughter of Johannesburg our top breeding son of Drum.
Then on 26th May Phil and Neil win 1st Wrexham Federation from Monmouth with another top class hen GB15F19920. We are very pleased to have gifted this hen to them as an egg in 2015.

GB15F19920 Blue Hen
1st Wrexham Fed Monmouth 94 members sent 1,603 birds.
The dam of Phil and Neil’s winning hen is Mata Hari and she is turning out to be a really good breeding hen at a very young age. In fact the eggs to Phil and Neil were her very first eggs laid and were destined for the Shotton Gold Ring Young Bird Race in 2015 which she scored in.

This is ‘Mata Hari’ the last daughter of ‘Outlaw’ and she is a very promising talent for the future have bred exceptionally well in her first few seasons… She will be one of War Drums mates in 2018…Cant wait!
