This is a photo of Granger a son of the ‘Rocket’ taken today…13 years old and still going strong, typical of the classic old Tournier bloodline…

Had a call today from Steve ‘Rocket Man’ Price of the Price Brothers & Son partnership of Stourport.

Yesterday they won 2nd Open in the very competitive Midlands Continental Classic Flying Club Race from Carentan with a grand daughter of Granger when he was paired to a daughter of Drum x Seven 11. Their loft is one of the most westerly in the Classic and was flown in a stiff south west wind. This is a testament to a great winning bloodline prepared by a top pigeon fancier.

The nest mate to yesterday’s Carentan prize winner has also won the Black Country Federation 3 times (twice as a young bird and again this season as a yearling).  The Drum x Seven 11 hen went to Wayne Doonan in Northern Ireland where she bred the 3rd NIPA Young Bird National Winner from Rosscarbery in her first nest.

Steve yesterday also won his club and looks like winning the Black Country Federation again with another grand daughter of Granger, this time when he was coupled to our Mary Kate hen (Casanova x Dtr Topo). This hen is the nest mate to their last seasons Teurlings Gold Ring Classic winner.

Granger is a son of the great Dutch National Ace winner ‘Rocket’ of Rinus van Gastel and was transferd to Ganus Family Loft in Indiana where he has become a world renowned breeder.
