This is another young cock that we have introduced to our breeding loft for 2013. He is a son of the Hermans -Van den Branden base breeding cock ‘Propere’ that is responsible for many winners into the fourth generation for fanciers around Antwerp.
There are very few direct children in other fanciers breeding lofts but is never the less proving a very potent line despite the lack of numbers in circulation.
Many fanciers in the U.K. and Ireland may already be familiar with this line mainly through two of his famous grand children ‘Kanon’ and ‘Nest Broer Kanon’ that were bred and raced by Danny Van Dyck of Pulle. Judging by the amount of success already reported they seem the ideal cross for most established bloodlines.
A wise introduction Peter.
He is an absolute cracker as well to handle. No wonder you are always smiling when I see you at the shows :)
I can see great things coming from his offspring for you.
Stuart
Thanks Stuart,
The more I look and handle the cock the more he reminds me of ‘Radar’ one of the best pigeons I ever owned that was bred and raced by Gerard Brothers in Liverpool in the early eighties. He looks a ringer for him and also acts just like him.
I hope he is half as good!
I am certain some of the Liverpool members on Pigeon Chat will remember ‘Radar’ and his nest brother ‘Sonar’. They were just super pigeons during a very competitive time in the Liverpool Amal.
