Yesterday saw a return to Quievrain for the 4th old bird race of the season. A total of 12,208 birds from Brabant 2000 Rayons 3 and 4 were liberated together at 8.30 am for a steady race. Once again we were very fortunate to have a good team performance with a few very early ones and a total of 18 prizes won from 32 entries.

First bird was NL11-1867154 ‘De Pikker’ a previous good prize winner including winning 72nd National NPO from Sezanne against 12,518 entries. This cock is bred in the purple from a whole series of top result winners down from our good breeding cock ‘Caliph’ on his fathers side. ‘De Pikker’s’ father is NL08-3857225 a winner himself of 31st National NPO Creil 12,626 birds & 43rd National NPO Sens 16,751 birds as well as many top Combine positions. His sire is again a top racing son of Caliph that won 9 prizes in the top 15 at Combine level and his mother is our super race and breeding hen ‘Chanel’.Dam of ‘De Pikker’ is once again a daughter of ‘Super 8’.
Second bird home yesterday was once again the ‘Blue Baron’ to score a very early prize once again and collect important points towards the Combine Ace Pigeon competition as our first nominated.
Third bird was NL12-1737183 another good prize winning hen bred from ‘Hurricane Run’ (Son Young Couple) x ‘Penny’ bred by Paul and Jelle Roziers from Little 500 x Queen L bloodlines.
Fourth bird was GB13J04617 bred from Chico (Hannibal x Genie) paired to Astrid a direct daughter of the magnificent Favorite Couple from Leo Hermans. This checker hen scored 18th Combine Nivelles against 4640 birds two weeks ago.
Fifth bird was another hen NL11-1867150 a prevoius winner of 2nd Combine St.Quentin 13,618 birds as well as many other great results. She is bred from another son of ‘Super 8’ when coupled to our top hen ‘Adele’ (Hannibal x Genie) winner of 14th Nat.NPO Orleans 6783 birds & 25th Nat.NPO Creil against 25,056 birds.
Our sixth bird and another hen was GB13J04634 bred from ‘Camelot’ (Hannibal x Shiji Queen dtr. Queen L) x ‘Black Betty’ bred by Paul and Jelle Roziers from Texas Girl another good daughter of Queen L that bred ‘Perfect Light’ the winner of 1st Provincial Bourges from 13,000+ birds and 2nd National against 31,824 birds.
