Today was our second young bird race of the season. Unfortunately two of our first four young bird races have been cancelled due to the prevailing conditions so far this season. This race today was once again interrupted by wind and rain and many club members including ourselves being quite a few down. Given that the blistering heat and humidity has now gone (for a while) we are very hopeful that many more will make it home.

We are very pleased indeed with the condition of the youngsters and today they came very well.

Our first bird was NL21-1275111 for 1st club Quievrain 477 birds, 3rd Combine 3318 birds and is bred from ‘BOSS’ a son of our top breeders ‘THE PORTUGAL PAIR’ when he was coupled to ‘DIAMOND’ a daughter of ‘CASH’ (Son New Harry) x ‘MEGHAN’ (War Drum x Sister Blue Baron)that was retained directly into our breeding loft.

This is Cash the sire of ‘Diamond’…he is a son of Jan Hooymans New Harry with a full sister of Harry.

This stunning hen is ‘Meghan’ and she is the dam of ‘Diamond’. She was bred from our top breeding cock ‘War Drum’ coupled with a full sister of Blue Baron.

 

Our second bird was NL21-2118936 winner of 2nd club Quivrain 477 birds, 4th Combine 3318 birds and was also our first bird last week winning 32nd Combine Biergies 3613 birds and was bred from ‘FIGHTER’ a yearling son of our top breeder Max x Willow (Hannibal x Half Sister Cowgirl) with ‘BARON LADY’ a daughter of Baron Harry on loan from Jan Hooymans…

Our third bird was NL21-1275158 winning 3rd club Quievrain 477 birds,5th Combine 3318 birds bred from ‘FAVORIET’ another son of ‘CASH’ the son of ‘NEW HARRY’ paired to ‘BELLA’ and the dam is our good breeding hen from De Hoogh and son.
