This is War Drum a quite exceptional cock in every way. His pedigree is absolutely world class and his breeding record is second to none at any level.
This is the first full season we have bred with him and we have coupled him with a few hens. Our conclusion is he can breed top class with any hen.
It is our intention to retain most of this years youngsters from him for our own breeding loft as although his direct children are proven racers, the early signs are that his grandchildren as just as good if not better, considering how very few have been raced. Only this weekend we had a report from Mr Howard Jackson of Yorkshire that he bred two nest sister granddaughters of him last season with one of them winning twice as a youngster and the other winning last Saturdays first race of the season.
We attach two examples of his direct children that we weaned last week. He was paired to a full sister of our super cock ‘Blue Baron’ and they have produced breathtaking quality straight away. They are fantastic in the hand with really strong muscular bodies,,very tight vents , single pin tail and super silky feathering.
