- ‘Foxy Lady’ a really beautiful hen with a brilliant racing record !! She only had three Classic Channel races in her short career winning :~ *1st Section 987 birds, 2nd Open 8,984 birds MNFC Countances ~ *1st Section 745 birds, 2nd Open 5,612 birds MNFC Acensis (Beaten by Adams Brothers, Longton!) ~ *1st Section 1,125 birds, 3rd Open 8,359 birds MNFC Fourgeres. She is also developing a fantastic breeding record in a very short space of time with very few having been bred from her.
I had a very welcome phone call from Steve Price to report a good win for his friends Adams Brothers of Longton, Stoke on Trent winning 1st North Staffs Federation from Frome against over 4200 birds yesterday.
Steve bred the parents as late breds in 2016 and last year was Adams Brothers first year breeding from them. The winning gene pool in Adams Brothers Fed topper is quite amazing…
His sire was bred from ‘Blue Aviator’ bred by Mike Ganus from Aviator the Olympic Long Distance Ace Pigeon paired to a daughter of ‘Hollywood’ a 1st Dutch National Ace winner in 1997. ‘Blue Aviator’ was coupled to Steves great breeder ‘The Rocket Hen’ direct dam of 8 x 1st Fed winners plus a 1st Open Teurlings Gold Ring winner. She was bred from ‘Granger’ the super breeding son of ‘Rocket’ a 1st Dutch National Ace winner in 1999 when he was pared to ‘Mary Kate’ a daughter of ‘Casanova’ a 1st Dutch National Ace Middle Distance winner in 2000 when he was coupled to a daughter of ‘Topo’ another 1st Dutch National Ace Muddle Distance winner in 1995.
Dam of Adams Brothers Fed topper is a direct daughter of ‘Foxy Lady’ and she was bred from a son of ‘Granger (direct Rocket) paired to a daughter of ‘Drum’ (Super Breeder and nest brother to Fara Diba 1st Ducth National Ace Long Distance 2003). Dam of ‘Foxy Lady’ is a daughter of ‘Bandit’ (from Outlaw son of Figo Reyaert 1st National Bourges) and Rowen (daughter of the Young Couple) when coupled to Moonglow (Daughter Drum with Joy a daughter of Kannibaal Van Dyck 1st Belgian National Ace Middle Distance 1996).
So a very simple breeding strategy…crossing Olympiad and National Ace winning genes together to try to breed more winners!
Many congratulations to all involved.
