Had another message from Wrexham , this time it was from Michael Jones of the Richards and Jones Partnership of Cefn, reporting the recent early results of their multiple prize winning cock GB20A31699 (699 – That is a Lucky Number!).
This cock is already a good prizewinner but in the last three weeks won 5th Club Frome , then 1st Club 1st Fed Wincanton 7th May against 1686 birds and last week 14th May 2nd Club 14th Fed Weymouth 1560 birds.
Remarkably this cock is bred from GB15S98103 a son of WARLORD another direct son of our YOUNG COUPLE. This time he was coupled to LADY LUCK a daughter of Dirk Leekens LUCKY LUKE.

GB15S98103 a top breeding son of Warlord is owned by Richards and Jones of Cefn,Wrexham and was purchased at our Blackpool Auction in the Savoy in January 2016.

GB20A13699 1st Club, 1st Fed Wincanton 7th May 1686 birds…
GB20A13699 2nd club,14th Fed Weymouth 1560 birds.
From a nostalgia point of view , I see that Phil Bates and Son from Bagillt topped the Fed from Weymouth and I really have to tip my hat to their consistency year after year. The very first eggs we ever bred from Drum in 2004 was when he was coupled a 2002 bred hen Lucky Charm the very first daughter we ever bred from the Young Couple that won 4th Europa Classic One Loft Race. We gifted the eggs to Phil and Neil and one became the sensational ‘FOXY PETE’. That was the start of Drum and the start of the YOUNG COUPLE and we are still reporting about Wrexham and the same lines knocking on for 20 years later!

Some of the YOUNG COUPLE direct kids…
